Geneva is a highly experienced function band with a huge repertoire ranging from 50’s Rock’n’Roll, through 60’s Soul, 70’s Funk, 80’s Pop, 90’s Indie, to the best artists of the present-day. Band members between them have played everywhere from the Glastonbury Festival to Everest Base-camp, on TV shows including Later with Joolz, Top of the Pops and TFI Friday, and with legends such as Reef, Ronnie Wood, Kula Shaker, Procal Harem and Freak Power.

The band was formed by Jason Knight in the late 80’s with school friends Dominic Greensmith, who went on to drum for Reef and Peter Gabriel, and singer Julie Alanah, whose first west–end role was playing “Beauty” in the original cast of “Beauty and the Beast”. Since that time the band has remained a collective of incredibly talented and respected musicians who get together between their own various projects to do what they love best – entertain.

Over the years the band has played all over Europe, including residencies in exclusive clubs in Nice, St Tropez and Hamburg. Clients have varied from huge corporations such as Porsche and American Express, to pub chains such as O’Neils, The Walkabout and Break for the Border. In the 90’s the band became well known across London and Dublin as the ‘best party band in town’, playing up to 4 nights a week in various clubs and pubs.

These days the band specialise in tailoring one–off events like weddings, parties and functions, working closely with clients to ensure an individually tailored programme of entertainment. This means that the energy you find injected into their music is more fresh and exciting than ever before.

Jason runs the band from his home in Brighton. He is a highly experienced keyboard player and frontman, whose time with UK Rockers 'Reef' took him on a major world–tour culminating in headline gigs at V97 and Glastonbury. He is currently the Head of Live Performance at the internationally renowned Brighton Institute of Modern Music, where he also teaches degree students how to run a successful Commercial Covers Band!

The current line up of the band often includes drummer/vocalist and producer Martin Wright, who was recently seen playing and singing alongside Mick Jagger and Beverly Knight.

Geneva are booked in many formats, although the standard line–up is as a four piece made up of drums, bass, guitar and keyboards. If your event calls for those 70s disco hits, we can provide female vocals and a brass section. For smaller events, consider a duo or trio. Included in every line is a top–quality sound and light system, and provision of a DJ play–list for breaks in the live programme.
